Components

Manage the flowers, food ingredients, hard goods, and other materials you use to build recipes and plan purchases.

What are components used for?

Components are the individual materials or cost items that make up a recipe. For example, a floral arrangement might include roses, greenery, and a vase, while a catering recipe might include individual food ingredients.

Use components for:

  • Recipes: Add materials and quantities to a product or project line item’s recipe.

  • Costing and pricing: Record component costs to help calculate recipe costs and inform pricing with your markups.

  • Shopping Lists: Review the components needed across one or more projects to plan your purchases.

  • Purchase Orders: Build a list of components to order from your supplier.

  • Production planning: Keep internal preparation instructions with your catalog components.

Saving frequently used components in your Catalog makes them easier to reuse as you build recipes.
