Creating and Managing Skills
You can build and manage your Skills directly from the Templates section. This allows you to quickly draft or update your saved contexts.
How to Create a New Skill
Navigate to Templates in the main menu and click on the Skills tab.
To start a new Skill, you can either click the + New template button in the top right corner and select Skills, or click the + Add Skill button directly within the tab.
In the New skill window (see image below), fill out the following fields:
Name: Give your Skill a clear, recognizable title (e.g., "Brand Tone Guidelines").
Description (Optional): Add a quick note explaining what this Skill is used for so your team knows when to select it.
Content: This is where you write the actual instructions or background context for the AI. The editor respects standard new lines and spacing.
Formatting: For more advanced structure (like bolding, lists, or headers), you can enter your text using Markdown. You can toggle between the code icon (
< >) and the preview icon (eye) to check your formatting!
Click the blue Save button in the top right corner.
Example Skill: Floral Recipe Generation

š” Pro Tip: Let AI Assist Write Your Skills! If you arenāt sure how to structure your instructions or want to ensure the formatting is perfectly coded, you can actually ask the AI to write the Skill for you. Just open AI Assist and try a prompt like this:
"I want to create a reusable AI Skill for my Curate account that ensures you always format my client email drafts in a professional, empathetic tone. Can you write the exact instructions I should use for this Skill, and format it clearly so I can copy and paste it into my Templates?"
Once the AI generates the instructions, simply copy its response and paste it straight into the Content box of your new Skill!
Attaching Skills in AI Assist
Once your Skills are built, you can easily pull them into your active AI Assist conversations.
Access the Dropdown: Inside the AI Assist tool, click the Attach Skill to view a list of all available Skills for your Organization.
Review Details: The dropdown lists both the name and the description of each Skill to help you choose the right one.
Attach as a Chip: Once you select a Skill, it will visually appear attached to your prompt as a small chip.
Applying Skills: Paste vs. Prepend
When you attach a Skill to your prompt, you have distinct options for how you want the AI to process that text.
The Paste Action: Selecting this will inject the Skill's text content directly into your typing area. Once pasted, the Skill chip detaches automatically, allowing you to manually edit the text before sending it to the AI.
The Prepend Action (Submitting attached): If you simply type your prompt and click Generate while a Skill chip is attached, the system automatically prepends the Skill's text content to your user prompt behind the scenes. This gives the AI the context it needs without cluttering your chat input.
The Remove Action: If you attached the wrong Skill, simply click the remove action to detach it completely before sending your prompt.
