Setting Up Your E-Commerce Storefront

Turn your Curate Catalog into a beautiful, shareable storefront where clients can browse and build their order.

Written by Enzo Baliwag

What is the E-Commerce Storefront?

Our E-Commerce feature allows you to build a public-facing, mobile-friendly storefront directly inside Curate. You can organize your store into sections, populate it with existing products from your Catalog, and share your unique store URL with clients.

Currently, customers browsing your store can add items to a temporary shopping cart to see running totals.

Initialize Your Store

Before you can build your store, you need to generate your unique public URL.

  1. Navigate to the E-Commerce tab in your main left-hand navigation.

  2. If this is your first time visiting, you will see a welcome screen. Click the Create Storefront button.

  3. Curate will automatically set up your store entity and generate your public Store URL. (Located at the top of the page)

⚠️Before you can actually view or share your storefront, you need to activate it! Open the Store Settings menu and toggle your store to Live.

Once your store is live, you can copy the provided link to check out your live storefront in a new tab or share it directly with your clients.

Managing Your Shop Settings

Before you share your store with the world, you will want to customize its basic details and branding. You can access this menu by clicking the button at the top of your E-Commerce page.

From this right-hand panel, you can control the following:

  • SHOP NAME: Enter the name you want displayed to customers at the top of your online store.

💡 Important Note: Editing your Shop Name will automatically change and update your public Shop URL, so be sure to set this before sharing links with clients!

  • LOGO: Upload your business logo to personalize your storefront. The recommended size is 100×100px, and any image uploaded here saves automatically.

  • STATUS: Use this dropdown menu to set your storefront to Live when you are ready for customers to view it.

  • SHOP URL: This is your unique public link. Once your store is Live, simply click the Copy button to grab the link and share it anywhere.

📌Make sure to click the blue Save button in the top right corner of the panel after making any changes to your name or status!

Build Your Store Sections

What you build in the editor is exactly what your clients will experience on the live store. To keep your shop organized, you can group your products into Sections (e.g., "Everyday Arrangements," "Appetizers," "Rentals"):

  • Add a Section: Click the + New Section button. A side panel will open on the right where you can name your new section and hit Save.

  • Edit or Delete: Need to make a change? Click the Pencil icon on the section header. That same right-hand panel will reopen, allowing you to easily rename the category or click the Delete button to remove it completely. (Note: Deleting a section cannot be undone!)

  • Reorder: Use the Up/Down arrows on the section header to move your categories up or down the page.

Add Products from Your Catalog

Once you have your sections, it is time to stock the shelves! Your storefront pulls directly from your existing Curate Catalog.

  • Inside any section, click the + Add item placeholder card.

  • A menu will appear allowing you to browse or search your entire Catalog.

  • Select a product to add it to the section. The store will automatically pull the product's default Photo, Name, Description, and Price.

  • Rearrange items: Once your items are added, you can easily drag and drop the products to rearrange the order they appear in!

  • Remove items: Need to take an item off the shelf? Simply click the red trash directly on the product card. (Don't worry, this only removes it from the storefront, not your main Catalog!)

Publish Your Storefront

As you build your store, all of your changes are safely saved as a Draft. Your clients will not see your updates while you are still working on them.

When your store looks perfect and you are ready to share it with the world:

  • Look for the Publish button at the top of your editor.

  • Click Publish to push all of your draft changes to your live public Store URL.

How Your Customers Shop (The Cart Experience)

When you share your public URL with a client, they will be greeted with a clean, mobile-responsive shopping experience.

  • Browsing: Customers can view all your published sections, product photos, descriptions, and pricing.

  • Adding to Cart: Every item has an + Add button. Clicking this instantly adds the item to their Cart.

  • Managing the Cart: A cart icon in the top header keeps track of their items. Customers can click the cart to open a side panel where they can increase/decrease quantities, remove items, and view their running subtotal.

Receiving Storefront Orders

When a client clicks Submit Request from their cart, Curate automatically generates a new Project under their name.

To keep your workspace clean, this new project will only contain the exact information they just submitted:

  • Client Name & Email

  • Event Date

  • The Order Details (Products and quantities)

  • Special Requests (Optional)

From there, you can review their request and continue with your standard proposal process!
