Moving Multiple Line Items Between Sections

When building an Order, it’s common for details to evolve as the event plan changes. You may need to move items between Sections such as Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, Reception, Delivery, or Prep. Curate now allows you to select multiple Line Items and move them together in a single action, making it faster to reorganize large Orders.

Why This Helps

Previously, Line Items could only be dragged and dropped one at a time within the same section or bulk selected through the slide out menu. For large Orders or last-minute changes, this could take a lot of time. With multi-select, you can quickly reorganize your Order by moving several items at once.

How to Move Multiple Line Items

  1. Select the items you want to move

    • Use the checkmark next to each Line Item.

    • Selected items will appear highlighted.

  2. Drag one of the selected items

    • Click and drag any of the highlighted Line Items.

  3. Drop them into a new Section

    • Drag the group to the desired Section header or area.

    • The Section will highlight when it is a valid drop location.

  4. Release to move the items

    • All selected Line Items will move together to the new Section.

What Happens When Items Are Moved

  • All selected Line Items move together as a group.

  • Items keep their original order relative to each other.

  • All item details remain unchanged, including:

    • Pricing

    • Quantities

    • Fulfillment status

If items were selected from multiple Sections, they will be consolidated into the new destination Section.

Improved Method For Adding Sections While Building an Order

When creating an Order, you may organize items into multiple Sections such as Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, Reception, Delivery, or Prep.

Curate now allows you to add new Sections directly where you’re working, making it easier to organize large Orders without unnecessary scrolling or reordering.

Why This Improvement Matters

Previously, adding a new Section required you to:

  • Scroll back to the top of the Order

  • Click Add Section

  • Then manually move the new Section if it needed to appear somewhere in the middle

For larger Orders, this could slow down the workflow and make it easy for Sections to end up out of order.

Now, you can insert Sections exactly where you need them while building the Order.

How to Add a Section While Working in an Order

  1. Navigate to the part of the Order where you want the new Section.

  2. Use the Add Section option near that area of the Order.

  3. The new Section will appear right where you are working, so you can continue building without needing to reorganize later.

What to Expect

  • New Sections are created in the location you choose, instead of always appearing at the bottom.

  • This helps keep large Orders organized as you build them.

  • Adding or deleting Sections now happens instantly, without a full page refresh.
