Have questions about migrating your data to the updated interface or looking for resources? We've got answers!

We're so excited to show you all of the amazing features we've been working on! In this article, we'll do a deep dive into answering common questions about updating your account the new interface. We're here to support you through this transition.

Important To Note:

  • You will still have access to your Curate Classic view for 2 weeks following migration.

  • It's a one-time process; any changes made in Curate Classic will not be transferred to the updated interface.

  • Plan for a few days to get acclimated to the new flow๐Ÿ’กpick a slower time for your business to update your account.

How do I sign up for migrating my account to the updated interface?

  • Choose the Date: Choose the best time for your account migration using this calendly link. No need to join the meeting, this is just put you on the list to migrate on the date of your choice.

  • Confirmation Email: For the actual migration of the data, there's nothing for you to do ๐ŸŽ‰ We generally process migrations very early in the morning and we'll send you an email with login information when everything is ready for your account.

  • Initial Training: That same day, we'll add you to a small group training where we walk through the updated interface together.

  • Daily Q&A Meeting: We know there is a lot of new functionality, so every day we have an hour long open Q&A session to answer any questions and do further training in the updated interface. And yes, you can join for just 10 minutes if you only have a few questions :)

When does migration begin?

  • Migration has already begun! ๐ŸŽ‰ All accounts are welcome to schedule your migration at any time using this calendly link.

  • Beginning in June 2025, we will be assigning specific migration dates for unscheduled accounts so that we can best assist during your migration.

How long will migration be offered?

  • Curate Classic will be retired at the end of September 2025. This means that all accounts will need to have a migration date by the end of August 2025.

But I love Curate Classic! Do I have to migrate to the updated interface?

  • Yes, all accounts must migrate to the updated interface. Due to the technical foundation of Curate Classic, it has reached the end of its lifespan. For data security and continued function, all accounts will need to be migrated.

Build an event in the Playground Account

  • Want to get familiar with the system prior to going through the update? We have playground accounts that you can use for learning. Reach out to our team for updated access to a playground account!

Prep your timelines

  • Make sure to turn on the eyeball of any hidden timelines you want moved over to the updated platform. Upon migration, any hidden timeline items will not move over.

Clean up your media library

  • Although not required, now may be a good time to do some cleanup in your media library! Archive any images that are unneeded, move your images into folders, add titles so they're easier to find, etc.

  • Although not required, now may be a good time to do some cleanup in your item library or your Rental library! Delete any that are unneeded, update pricing or qty, etc.

How much will migration cost?

  • For current Curators, there is no cost to migrate to the updated platform.

Will my subscription price go up when I move to the updated platform?

  • No ๐ŸŽ‰ Weโ€™ll be applying a legacy discount to accounts when they migrate!

Data

Will my data be imported into the updated platform?

  • YES! Our Migration Tool will export your data from Curate Classic to the updated platform.

Is there any data that won't be moved over during migration?

Previous Proposal Versions

  • Previously published versions of current events will not migrate over to the updated platform. Only the most recent version of a proposal will migrate over.

Tasks

  • Tasks set up in your tasks tab or tasks built at the bottom of your proposals will not migrate over to the updated platform. You'll be able to add those back into your account once migrated.

Hidden Timeline Items

  • Any timeline items that are marked as hidden (the eyeball icon is greyed out) at the bottom of your proposals will not migrate over. You'll want to turn on any timeline items you wish to move over.

Support from Curate

How will I be supported from the Curate team when I migrate to the updated platform?

  • Our Chat Support offers timely guidance to all your questions or concerns. Access support via the blue pop-up bubble at the bottom right of your screen or locate the Help tab on the left-hand navigation bar.

  • Initial Training: That same day, we'll add you to a small group training where we walk through the updated interface together.

  • Daily Q&A Meeting: We know there is a lot of new functionality, so every day we have an hour long open Q&A session to answer any questions and do further training in the updated interface. And yes, you can join for just 10 minutes if you only have a few questions :)

What if something isn't operating as expected in the updated platform?

  • If there's something that doesn't seem to be operating as you'd expect, our Help Center is a great place to start!

  • If you're still not finding what you're looking for or want to report something to the Curate team, simply hop into Chat Support and we will guide you from there!

After Migration

Quick Start Guides - Getting started in the updated interface

  • Setup a payment integration

    • Native Stripe integration

      • If you are already integrated with Stripe in Curate Classic, when you migrate over this will already be set up.

      • Does not pass along card fees to customers.

      • Allows you to accept payments via ACH and credit card.

      • Passes the platform fees to your customer.

  • Update the link to your inquiry form on your website or social media.

    • There is a new link in the updated interface.

Will I still be able to access my Curate Classic view?

  • Yes! You will still have access to your Curate Classic account for two weeks following migration. After migrating your account, please note that it's a one-time process; any changes made in Curate Classic will not be transferred to the updated platform.

What happens if I accidentally make changes in my Curate Classic account?

  • That's totally okay! Ensure that any modifications made in your Curate Classic account are also added to the updated platform as they will not carry over after migration.

Gather previous versions of proposals as needed

  • Only your most recent version of your proposals will migrate over. Previous versions will remain accessible in Curate Classic for two weeks following your migration. You can download these as needed.
