We're so excited to show you all of the amazing features we've been working on in the updated platform! In this article, we'll do a deep dive into answering common migration questions and help ease any uncertainty or lingering questions! We're here to support you through this transition.

Important To Note: You will still have access to your Curate Classic account for 1 month following migration. After migrating your account, please note that it's a one-time process; any changes made in Curate Classic will not be transferred to the updated platform.

Throughout this article, there are a couple of common words you'll notice. Here's what they mean:

  • Curate Classic - this refers to the account you're currently utilizing for your daily processes.

  • Updated Platform - this refers to the software to which you will be migrating over to.

  • Migration - Migration refers to the process of transitioning you from Curate Classic to the updated platform.

  • Data - this refers to all of the information you currently have housed in your Curate Classic account. Your data includes: proposals, contacts, history, libraries, photos, etc.

Pricing

How much will migration cost?

  • For current Curators, there is no cost to migrate to the updated platform.

Will my subscription price go up when I move to the updated platform?

  • No. πŸŽ‰ We’ll be applying a legacy discount to accounts when they migrate!

Why is my updated platform pricing different than what shows on the website?

  • When you migrate, you will have the option to move down to a lower plan if desired. However, it is likely you'll be moved up to a more advanced plan while still retaining your current pricing. πŸŽ‰

Migration Timing

When does migration begin?

  • Migration has already begun! πŸŽ‰ We are inviting customers to participate in migration to the updated platform on a rolling basis based on the features you're currently using in Curate Classic!

When will I be invited to migrate?

  • When the features that you actively use in Curate Classic become available in the updated platform.

  • Following your invitation, you will have the option to select the migration timing that best suits your business.

How long will migration be offered?

  • Migration invitations will continue to be sent out on a rolling basis as more advanced features are developed.

Not ready to migrate?

  • Not a worry! We'll work with you and your team to guide you to a migration time that makes the most sense for your business.

Data That Will Be Migrated To The Updated Platform

Will my data be imported into the updated platform?

  • YES! Our Migration Tool will export your data from Curate Classic to the updated platform.

These components are currently under development and will eventually be integrated into the updated platform

  • Gratuity

  • Automation for marking an event as completed and enabling payments

Is there any data that won't be moved over during migration?

Previous Proposal Versions

  • Previously published versions of current events will not migrate over to the updated platform. Only the most recent version of a proposal will migrate over.

Tasks

  • Tasks set up in your tasks tab or tasks built at the bottom of your proposals will not migrate over to the updated platform. You'll be able to add those back into your account once migrated.

Hidden Timeline Items

  • Any timeline items that are marked as hidden (the eyeball icon is greyed out) at the bottom of your proposals will not migrate over. You'll want to turn on any timeline items you wish to move over.

Gameplans & Purchases

  • Gameplans & purchases will not carry over to the updated platform, but you will have the ability to create.

Notifications

  • The notifications tab from your Curate Classic settings will not transfer over to the updated platform.

Support from the Curate team

How will I be supported from the Curate team when I migrate to the updated platform?

  • Our Chat Support offers timely guidance to all your questions or concerns. Access support via the blue pop-up bubble at the bottom right of your screen or locate the Help tab on the left-hand navigation bar.

  • We will offer quick-start articles & videos that seamlessly guide you through features of the updated platform.

  • We will offer daily group training webinars Monday - Friday for you and the team to attend any time you wish!

How to prepare your Curate Classic account for migration

Prep your timelines

  • Make sure to turn on the eyeball of any hidden timelines you want moved over to the updated platform. Upon migration, any hidden timeline items will not move over.

Evaluate your form submissions

  • At this time, form submissions previously sent in by your customers won't migrate. You may convert this information to a proposal prior to your chosen migration date if you do want it to migrate.

Clean up your media library

  • Although not required, now may be a good time to do some cleanup in your media library! Archive any images that are unneeded, move your images into folders, add titles so they're easier to find, etc.

Clean up your library

Although not required, now may be a good time to do some cleanup in your item library or your Rental library! Delete any that are unneeded, update pricing or qty, etc.

Download Gameplans & Purchases

  • Watch this video on how to properly gather your gameplans & purchases data.

Reporting

  • Gather any reports that you may need from your Curate Classic account.

On the day of migration

What actions do I have to take to migrate my account?

  • Select a migration day and time that works for you, then leave the heavy lifting to us as we migrate your date!

How long will migration take?

  • Plan to not have access to your account for approximately one day.

After Migration

Will I still be able to access my Curate Classic account?

  • Yes! You will still have access to your Curate Classic account for one month following migration. After migrating your account, please note that it's a one-time process; any changes made in Curate Classic will not be transferred to the updated platform.

What happens if I accidentally make changes in my Curate Classic account?

  • That's totally okay! Ensure that any modifications made in your Curate Classic account are also added to the updated platform as they will not carry over after migration.

Accessing old versions of your Curate Classic proposals

  • Only your most recent version of your proposals will migrate over. Previous versions will remain accessible in Curate Classic for one month following your migration, allowing you to refer back to them as needed.

Troubleshooting & The Updated Platform

What if something isn't operating as expected in the updated platform?

  • If there's something that doesn't seem to be operating as you'd expect, our Help Article Database will guide you to answers you might be looking for. If you're still not finding what you're looking for or want to report something to the Curate team, simply hop into Chat Support and we will guide you from there!

  • Transitioning to the updated platform will involve some learning curves, which is to be expected. Rest assured, our team is here to provide guidance and support!
